Hello, my name is Sally Brown and I am a BACP-registered counsellor and therapeutic coach. I hope to offer you a safe place to explore difficult feelings and face upheaval or challenges, understand why you feel the way you do and find a positive way forward.
You don’t need to be ‘messed up’ to benefit from therapy. You may be a ‘coper’ or the person that everyone else relies on for help. To the outside world, your life probably looks like it’s functioning well. But you may be struggling inside, dealing with worries, feelings of stress and anxiety, or just a persistent low mood. Or perhaps you have a feeling of ‘is this it?’ about your life, even though you have a lot to be grateful for.
You may be wondering if seeking support is an indulgence, telling yourself that you should be able to cope on our own. The truth is that our emotional wellbeing is just as important as our physical health, and we all have times when we could benefit from professional help. A course of therapy can help you feel happier, calmer and more in control. It can help you to see the changes that need to be made, and give you the confidence you need to make them.
